Greg Baynes new

Greg Baynes - Owner/Manager
Greg's life has always been about motorcycles. It all started at a young age when he swept floors at a local motorcycles shop where he lived. A fully qualified motorcycle technician himself, he knows what he is talking about. Greg calls on a wealth of experience and knowledge to give his customers the level of service and expertise they deserve. An accomplished Cross Country and Motocross racer, Greg likes nothing better than getting out in the dirt and pushing the boundaries. Actively racing his bike and now organizing the annual Southland Cross Country Series, you can say Greg gets amongst it. Greg is only too happy to assist his customers towards the ultimate motorcycling experience.

Nigel Bayne new

Nigel Bayne - Sales
In his time at MotoSouth, Nigel has built a tremendous rapport with our customers, farmers to weekend warriors alike. Nigel has always been around motorcycles (a pre requisite to work here!) and has worked for over 5 years in another motorcycle dealership gaining valuable industry experience running the workshop along with doing sales and parts. Married with two young children, Nigel is a passionate trail and Enduro rider, and gets out on his bike as much as time and family allows. Nigels passion for motorcycles shows through in his dealings with our customers, and is looking forward to helping many people into the bike of their dreams.

Alis Goatley

Alis Goatley - Parts Manager
The newest addition to the team at MotoSouth, Alis started with us in May 2010, charged with keeping our busy parts department running as smooth as silk. Being fastidious, Alis has no trouble with that at all. Growing up on a farm in Eastern Southland Alis grew up with bikes, and now has a dirt and a road bike. Keener on the road bike scene she has been putting together a few weekend rides for keen punters, and is looking forward to next summer so she can organise a few week night rides.

CURRENT RIDES: 2009 KAWASAKI Z750, 1996 HONDA XR200 (we're working on getting rid of the Honda for something green or orange!)

Heather Stuart

Heather Stuart - Office manager
A self confessed petrol head, Heather loves being around motorcycles all day. You will catch her at the Wyndham street race every year camped outside her parents house which is conveniently trackside, and not much gets missed! Heather is responsible for keeping our office running like clockwork, and with nothing out of place in there you can bet that's what happens.

CURRENT RIDE: (now shes got ride of that plane, there's room for a Spyder eh!)

Justin Shaw new

 Justin Shaw - Workshop Foreman, Tradesman
Justin is a hard worker and perfectionist, and expects the same of the other workshop staff. Preferring his actions to be louder than his words, he does exactly this on the race track. A cross country specialist, in 2004 Justin claimed the Open 4 Stroke South Island Cross Country Title and finished second only to Cam Smith in the National title race and always is at the pointy end of a gruelling 3 hour race.  Workshop Foreman at MotoSouth, Justin is revelling in the challenges of running a busy motorcycle workshop.

Nathan Rumbler new

 Nathan Rumler -  Motorcycle Technician, Tradesman
Since leaving school Nathan has enjoyed working on and maintaining motorcycles. From riding on 80cc trail bikes as a kid on his parent's farm to now throwing around a 2 stroke Kawasaki KX250, Nathan has plenty of experience with motorcycles. Always pleasant and helpful, Nathan enjoys repairing and maintaining MotoSouth's customer's motorcycles and ATV's, knowing he has helped to improve their motorcycling experience.

Robin Blake new

Robin Blake - Motorcycle Technician, Tradesman
Robin joined the team in our fabulous workshop in 2007. Robin immediately hit up a rapport with our customers with his friendly and helpful nature. Being involved in motocross since being a junior racer, he was well known in the circles and has the potential to lay some fast laps down. In fact he won the MX1 class of the 2007 Southland Motorcycle Clubs Sandpit MX Series. Coming from previous employment as a mechanic in the industry, Robin brings with him a lot of varied experience to the team in our workshop and is only to happy to service, repair and rebuild the motorcycles and ATVs that come in.

Bradley Andrews new

Bradley Andrews - Motorcycle Technican, Apprentice
Bradley is looking forward to completing his apprenticeship very soon and becoming a tradesman technician. Bradley is a keen cross country racer and excells when the conditions get nargly and he can use his long legs to his advantage. His biggest achievement so far is winning the unders class of the 2006 Southland Cross Country Series. He then went out and smacked his leg up good requiring some reconstruction, but is back on the bike now after a year off and loving it.

Michael the mouse

A frequent vistor to the staff smoko room, Michael makes sure we know he's still with us while winning the longest game of tag history has ever seen. Shown here in a rare shot grasping the handlebars of his bike, Michael gets a hell of a kick out of getting his knee down while tearing across the floor.

CURRENT RIDE: 1/66th 2009 Triumph Bonneville (50th Anniversary to be exact)
